Art Exhibition

Fundraiser for Wildlife Conservation

A big thank you to everyone who attended Vanishing Point, at the Australian Museum in mid-October. The opening night event was a most enjoyable evening, with lots of support and a great turn out of people. The bubbly flowed freely and once everyone had perused the exhibition there was also the gorgeous sparkling city views to enjoy from the Terrace. Several people commented what a social  and fun crowd of people were there compared to other art show openings they had attended, which goes to show that a good cause attracts great people!

All of the silent auction items kindly donated by best-selling author

Bradley Trevor Greive sold over the weekend, and raised an extra thousand dollars for the African Wild Dog Conservation project. Thank you to everyone at BTG studios. For more information on the type of activities the funds will support please see http://www.awdczambia.org/, a non-profit trust founded by the artist

and supported by WWF-Netherlands (for more information about the artist click here).

Painting sales over the weekend went well; sold works included representatives from all genres including Australian wildlife, Australian gum trees and landscapes, and African wildlife and landscapes. The two largest works which were part of the silent auction were also snapped up, 'Vanishing Point" and "Designer Rump" (pictured on this page). The artist is now busy working on a couple of commissions as well.

Thanks again to everyone for making the night such a success. Watch this space for more news.

Exhibition paintings are now listed on the "Archives" page, or together with  new works for sale on the pages above..
